The Pitch (AMC, 11pm) - Viewers know when they've seen a good ad.

Just take a look at what happens during the Super Bowl as an instant focus group of millions of tweets lets ad agencies know whether they've created commercial magic.

Whether that ad translates into sales is a whole other matter. But it's not easy to create an ad, even for non-Super Bowl programming, especially in an era of DVRs and the ability to whip through commercials with a touch of the remote.

This series, which starts its second season, goes behind the scenes as ad agencies try to win the business of national retailers and corporations. Each episode will show how two creative teams create campaigns to pitch to companies. They work really hard, knowing that the company might not pick them. It's all in the name of business, and it makes for unexpectedly compelling TV.
