Review: Cheer Perfection

Tiaras and Cheer Double Bill is Two Hours of Terrible
New York Post

Cheer Perfection (TLC, 10pm) - Watching children get abused to satisfy the performance fantasies of adults got old several reality shows ago. But it sells, so here’s the latest, an eight-episode look at a cheerleading program for preteen girls.

As this suggests, it’s a cousin to Toddlers and Tiaras, in which small girls are dolled up for beauty pageants.
In this case, the young ‘uns are being prepped for the acrobatic world of big-time cheerleading, which is every bit as competitive in many parts of the country as the games like football that its participants are out there cheering for.

  1. I don't understand. I thought that when you get these reality based shows that you are the best in your class, like Abby on Dance Moms. But this is the worst cheerleading coach that I ever seen. Why in the world did they give this a show. I got a few of my daughters friends together when they were five and taught them a few cheerleading moves to do on the sidelines of her seven year old brothers team. I'm no coach, but this looked similar to that. Poor little girls, get a better coach, and please tell the moms to shut up.
