This year, for the first time in forever, Dick Clark won't usher in the new year. But there's no shortage of New Year's Eve programs ranging from the sophisticated to the silly to the annual standbys.
Here is TVFirstLook's guide to New Year's Eve:
Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest (ABC, 10pm) - The annual go-to show for a good time, live from New York City's Times Square, hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie co-hosts from Las Vegas. ABC's pre-show starting at 8pm salutes Dick Clark who passed away earlier this year.
New Year's Eve with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin (CNN, 10pm) - CNN host and daytime talk show host Anderson Cooper hangs out in Times Square as comedian Kathy Griffin delivers the laughs or strains to, depending on your perspective.
New Year's Eve Live! (Fox, 11pm) - Las Vegas is New Year's Eve central for Fox, although the network also will have cameras in Times Square. The special is hosted by Marlon Wayans with performers such as The X Factor winner Tate Stevens.
New Year's Eve with Carson Daly (NBC, 10pm) - The Voice host Carson Daly mans the mic for NBC's annual (and sorta funner than the rest) New Year's celebration. Performers include rock group Train and The Voice season three winner Cassadee Pope.
Live from Lincoln Center (PBS, 8pm) - The New York Philharmonic pays tribute to the late Marvin Hamlisch in what will no doubt be the night's classiest New Year's Eve show. Singer and Private Practice actress Audra McDonald hosts.
