Katie Couric Dedicates Hour to the 26 People Killed in Newtown, Conn.
TVFirstLook

One day after President Obama attended a vigil in Newtown, Conn., where 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed 20 kids 6-7 years old and six adults, Katie Couric addresses the mass killings on Katie (local listings).

Prior to killing more than two dozen people at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Adam killed his mother at their home. He later killed himself.

Katie takes on a topic that is an epidemic. Last summer, a dozen people were killed in an Aurora, Colo. movie theater. In January 2011, six people were killed and 13 injured, including Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, in Tucson, Ariz.
