You no longer have to scramble to come up with the perfect egg. Emmy-winning TV host, author and founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Martha Stewart makes sure of that in the premiere episode of her new series Martha Stewart’s Cooking School debuting on PBS stations the weekend of Oct. 6 and 7.

In just 30 minutes, this new weekly teaching series inspired by Martha’s eponymous best-selling book will provide American home cooks with a culinary master class. By illustrating the building blocks of recipes, Martha Stewart’s Cooking School simplifies cooking methods everyone should know (from roasting to poaching to braising and blanching).

Martha will instruct viewers each step of the way; from selecting the very best ingredients and making simple stocks to flawlessly pan sautéing a whole fish. The series kicks off with an episode dedicated to the versatile egg, followed by an installment devoted to staple sauces including hollandaise, béchamel and marinara.
