Best of all, the show is authentic. "Keep in mind, there was no artificial drama 'produced' in this series," says host and matchmaker Paul Carrick Brunson.
"Everything you see organically happened. There was no script. We simply turned the cameras on in the morning and documented the process."
No scripted reality, no voting off ceremonies, no false, emotional ploys for camera time. LoveTown, USA (OWN - Sunday, 10pm) only promises authentic relationships and struggles being captured on camera. What a breath of fresh air!

I love Oprah's new show. Lovetown is bound to inspire others to take a close look at love and reap the rewards of a real focus on love.
ReplyDeleteI love this show already! The people are so real and understandable. I really want to see Alicia, the girl with cancer, let her guard down and find love. I also hope the dance studios stop fighting for the sake of the kids. The dating experts seem real and kind, and the singles mostly seem like good people. I can't wait to see what happens next!
ReplyDeleteit's just too bad that the editors and producers have no idea where they are filming. Any scenes shown that have a waterfront view are NOT Kingsland, GA, the purported "lovetown, USA", rather take place in St. Marys, the historic waterfront town down the road from Kingsland. The most egregious example was the description of the Mardi Gras parade shown in last week's episode, when the voice-over described this as a long-time Kingsland tradition. This parade took place in St. Marys, and has been a tradition in this small city on the water for years, never in Kingsland.
