Greg Markwardt is Arrested for the Murder of Sis-In-Law Kathy OdomID: Investigation Discovery
Blood, Lies & Alibis (Investigation Discovery, 9pm) - In 1987, Kathy Odom is found stabbed to death in her home.
There are several signs suggesting that she knew her attacker, but detectives cannot make an arrest. Years later, a new technique is developed that allows DNA to be collected from items used in a murder.
The lamp cord that was tied to Odom's wrist is subsequently tested for DNA. Her brother-in-law, Greg Markwardt, turns out to be a match for the profile and after fifteen years, is arrested for the murder of Kathy Odom.
Kathy was a great friend to me and a beautiful person, inside & out. I lost touch with her when I divorced my first husband, he got the friends. I watched her dad walk up to her casket & go to his knees. I have never witnessed such a grieving parent until my brother lost his 31 year old daughter and I hope never to see such again. I think her dad is a hero for NEVER GIVING UP! I hope her parents have found what happiness is possible in their lives. God bless you all. Barbara
ReplyDeleteGreg & Shelly were my parents' neighbors for 11 years. Greg was extremely friendly. He seemed to take good care of Aunt Linda. Greg would come over to borrow items from us. Long before Greg was arrested, my father did not want me around Greg at all. At some point, Dad said to me, "You let me deal with Greg when he comes over." Being a petite young woman & not completely sure about him I was fine with that. Greg used his extreme friendliness to counteract what you might initially sense about him. Shelly rarely came outside. They fought a lot. His father-in-law could not stand him and always suspected he killed his daughter. After Aunt Linda died and g&s were moving out, Kathy's sunglasses were found under their china cabinet.
