Preview: Anderson

Daytime television enters a new, historic, Oprah-free era today. Perhaps no new show will ever capture the magic of Oprah -- heck, Oprah can't capture the magic of Oprah. But a few Big Names are going to give it a shot. Katie Couric is gearing up for a 2012 debut, while CNN's Anderson Cooper gives daytime TV a shot, starting today.

Anderson has a few things working in its favor. Anderson Cooper is a likeable personality who's easy breezy in front of the camera. Plus, judging by previews, the show has major money behind it -- and it shows in a tight production and an incredible-looking set.

Today, Anderson debuts with a sitdown interview with the family of the late, tragic figure Amy Winehouse.
