Review: Junkies

Science's new reality show JUNKies illustrates once again the thin line between a genuinely intellectual exercise in creativity and Jackass, writes the brilliant David Hinckley in the New York Daily News.

JUNKies is filmed at the Freeport, L.I., junkyard of Jimmy (the Junk Genius) Ruocco, who oversees a full acre of discarded stuff. Mostly, it seems to be used parts and metal this-and-that, with an occasional pile of something recognizable, like authentic fire hydrants.

There's a joke in there somewhere about junkyard dogs.
